Real World Group® Real World Leader® Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

–     What does the Real World Leader assess?

The Real World Leader is an assessment of your leadership approach and impact, according to your behaviours, values and attitudes. The RWL is an evidence-based tool that assesses leadership behaviour, not personality; it shows the behaviours you are enacting most in your current role and behaviours which you report enacting less.

–     What reports are generated?

Three reports are generated from the RWL questionnaire. A Coaching Report, Hiring Manager report, and Candidate report. These should be used depending on the overall purpose of applying the Real World Leader.

–     What are the reports used for?

The Hiring Manager report is designed to enhance middle to senior and executive recruitment or internal promotion processes.

Both successful and unsuccessful candidates for a role are likely to find the Candidate Report useful for their growth.

The Coaching Report is designed as a powerful tool for coaching and development.

–     How long will the questionnaire take?

The questionnaire should take no longer than 20 minutes, this should ideally be completed in one sitting. It is advisable to complete the questionnaire on a PC or laptop rather than mobile or table to ensure that the questions are all presented clearly. Please ensure that you are responding to questions based on your current leadership role.

–      How do I take part in a Real World Leader questionnaire?

If you have been asked to complete the Real World Leader you will receive an email invitation with login details to access the questionnaire. This will also include the closing date.

–     Do I need to be in a leadership/management role?

Yes – one of the strengths of the Real World Leader is that it is designed for middle to senior and executive leaders specifically, rather than being more generic. We intend to create a version specifically for less senior leaders in the near future.
